From Lou Reed and new art to post-punk and that brown winter light, Michael Bracewell explores Berlin

From Lou Reed and new art galleries to the post-punk eighties exiles, a mental asylum and the brown light of a Berlin winter twilight, author and critic Michael Bracewell was prompted to explore the city after a bizarre dream. But is the real Berlin even more disorienting and disturbing than the strangest dream?
